The Altoona Grand Hotel is located in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in the heart of Central Pennsylvania. Our convenient location provides easy access to Interstate 99 and is just minutes from downtown Altoona, Penn State Altoona, UPMC Altoona, Lakemont Park, DelGrosso's Park, Horseshoe Curve, the Railroaders Memorial Museum, and many other popular attractions. We are also approximately 45 minutes from Penn State University in State College.

Yes. Altoona Grand Hotel is an independently owned boutique hotel proudly serving Central Pennsylvania. As Blair County's only full-service hotel, we provide personalized hospitality, spacious accommodations, on-site dining, meeting and event facilities, and exceptional service for both leisure and business travelers.

Is Altoona Grand Hotel a full-service hotel?

Yes. We are the only full-service hotel in Blair County, offering guest rooms and suites, complimentary breakfast, on-site restaurants and lounge, meeting and banquet facilities, wedding venues, indoor recreation, fitness facilities, and professional event planning services.

Reservations & Check-In

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and check-out is 11:00 AM. Complimentary late check-out may be available depending on occupancy. Please contact the front desk on the day of your departure to inquire.

What is your cancellation policy?

Most reservations may be canceled up to 24 hours before arrival without penalty. Some promotional, group, or special event reservations may have different cancellation policies.

Is a security deposit required?

Yes. A refundable $125 authorization is required at check-in using a credit card or cash.

What is the minimum age to check in?

Guests must be 21 years of age or older to reserve and check into a guest room.

Can I split payment between multiple guests?

Yes. Our front desk can accommodate split payments using multiple credit cards when requested.

Do you offer AARP, AAA, or senior discounts?

Yes. Eligible guests receive a 10% discount with qualifying memberships.

Do you offer group rates?

Yes. We offer discounted rates for weddings, conferences, sports teams, reunions, motorcoach groups, and other large gatherings. Contact our Sales Department for customized group pricing.

Do you have Jacuzzi rooms?

Yes. Several of our suites feature private in-room Jacuzzi tubs for a relaxing stay.

Do you have rooms with kitchens?

Yes. Select suites include full kitchens, making them ideal for extended stays and families.

Do you have rooms with balconies?

Yes. Select guest rooms feature private balconies overlooking our indoor pool.

Do you offer connecting rooms?

Yes. Connecting rooms are available upon request and subject to availability.

Are cribs and rollaway beds available?

Yes. Cribs and rollaway beds are available upon request and subject to availability.

How many guests can stay in a room?

Standard guest rooms accommodate up to four guests. Suite capacities vary depending on the room type.

Do guest rooms include in-room safes?

No. Guest rooms do not currently include in-room safes.

Amenities

Is breakfast included?

Yes. Complimentary breakfast is included with every overnight stay. We serve a continental breakfast buffet Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, and a hot breakfast buffet on weekends.

Does the hotel have free Wi-Fi?

Yes. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

Does Altoona Grand Hotel have an indoor pool?

Yes. Guests enjoy the area's largest heated indoor swimming pool, along with a separate kiddie pool.

What are the pool hours?

Our indoor pool is open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Is the pool open to the public?

Pool access is reserved for registered hotel guests. Non-guests may inquire with our Sales Department about renting our pool party room for private events.

Do you offer pool parties?

Yes. Pool parties are available seven days a week in three-hour time blocks. Please contact our Sales Department for availability and reservations.

Does the hotel have a hot tub?

We do not have a public hot tub. However, several guest suites feature private Jacuzzi tubs.

Is there a fitness center?

Yes. Guests have complimentary access to our on-site fitness center.

Do you have a spa?

No. While we do not have a spa, our Jacuzzi suites provide a relaxing in-room experience.

Is there a business center?

Yes. Guests have access to a business center with computers and printing services.

Do you have guest laundry facilities?

Yes. Self-service laundry facilities are available and operate using credit cards.

Are ice machines available?

Yes. Ice machines are conveniently located on every guest room floor.

Is luggage storage available?

Yes. Complimentary luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out.

Yes. The Altoona Grand Hotel features on-site dining, including Grouse's Nest Lounge, serving lunch, dinner, drinks, and live entertainment on select evenings.

Do you offer valet parking?

No. Self-parking is complimentary.

Does the hotel offer airport shuttle service?

No. We do not currently offer airport shuttle service.

Do you have EV charging stations?

While we do not currently have on-site EV chargers, we partner with a nearby dealership that offers electric vehicle charging.
